Facebook dating not risky

I think Facebook dating is fantastic.

You go through profiles of people so you know what kind of jobs they have, their hobbies, whether they are single, divorced or have kids, and whether it could match with what you are looking for. It also opens up your dating pool to include people beyond your everyday social circle.

Facebook dating is no more riskier than meeting someone at a club or off the streets. There are people out there genuinely looking for love (hopefully you are one of them), but there are also those who lie about age, marital status, and other important personal details (hopefully you are not one of them).

Be prepared to be disappointed, though, with individuals who look nothing like their photographs.

Many people over the world have met their partners through the Internet so I wouldn’t rule it out! As with all things in life, be realistic and sensible, and check everything out.

I second this! I don't think looking for someone on Internet is wrong or not practical at all. After all, i know someone off there that is a really really good friend now emoticon

Interesting. Google analytics track everything - do they have stats on how many dates are made, and how many are converted into real lasting relationships?

Go ahead and find your date on Facebook as long as you verify everything that the other person has posted on FB. But back off the moment you sense the other person is actually looking for cash, not relatioship. There are already too many online scams and blackmail cases.
